From the seller: Ginger is a 2017 red dun roan, grade quarter Horse mare. Her dam came from a guide/guest ranch in Stanley, Idaho. We had purchased 3 very, nice young mares from this ranch. We bought Ginger’s dam in the fall of 2016 and started riding her. She was a wonderful, quiet mare that we later sold to a friend who still loves her and rides her all over. In the spring of 2017, that mare had an OOPS foal, Ginger! Ginger was just the most beautiful little filly. My kids kept her and raised her. My son has been riding her since she was 3. Together, they have done all kinds of trails and some 4-H during the summers. Ginger really excels as a trail horse. She is quiet, not reactive and walks out nicely all day. She has always gone where she was asked and is sure-footed. In camp, she’s quiet, settles in easily and never misses a meal or a chance to drink. Ginger loads and hauls like a dream. She has only ever been trimmed. Ginger isn’t a big horse at about 14.3 (I’ve only used a tape on her) but she has a bigger, sweepy trot that covers ground. She has been asked to go slow and has been working on a jog for 4-H. Her lope isn’t overly comfortable but she will get the job done for you. My son has been working on her trail patterns and they always finish pretty well at our fair. Ginger is not a fire-cracker so not recommended for any speed events. I think she’d love to spend her days on the trails and spare time getting a lot of attention. She’s easy to catch, give shots and dewormer. She’s sound and has never had any injuries. Ginger is also fine with time off and has taken very good care of my kids. Only selling because they are moving on to other interests and Ginger has way too much to offer to just stand around. Michelle Parr 208-899-5992
